1. What's a tangram puzzle?
It's an ancient Chinese brain teaser made of flat shapes called “tans”. The goal is to arrange all the tans to perfectly match a given silhouette. It's a fun way to exercise spatial reasoning and creativity! In Owlyfit, each level has its own outline and different number of tans.
2. How do I solve a tangram?
• Arrange all the tans to perfectly match a given silhouette. Note: no overlap is
allowed!
• Move tans by grabbing the dark circle inside them.
• Rotate tans by grabbing them away of the dark circle.
• Experiment until everything fits!
3. I'm stuck - any tips?
• Use a hint () to get a clue. One hint costs
three gems and shows you the correct position of one tan.
• Ask a friend for help! Your friend downloads the game, enters the code you've shared,
cracks the tangram, and shares the solution so that you can replicate it.
• Take a short break and try again with fresh eyes!
• In busy levels tans can lock on wrong corners - you can try to grab them out of their current
postions one-by-one and bring them back from different directions.
• When tan's outline is red, it overlaps with another tan or the target
shape. Move it to make sure that there are no overlaps.
• Pro tip: start by fitting the tans to the shape corners, then continue inside.
4. What's next after I finish all the levels in the adventure mode?
You can enjoy endless tangrams in the Random Mode ( at the bottom
right corner of the
screen).
5. What are coins, gems and boxes?
Coins and gems are in-app currencies - they
have
no real value outside of the game.
Boxes contain
random amount of coins and gems within the ranges written on top of them.
• Use gems for hints and unlocks.
• Earn coins by solving puzzles.
• Get gems from boxes or by purchasing gem packs.
• Earn boxes for specific actions (e.g. daily challenge solved, referral used, 500 tangrams
solved, etc) or by purchasing them.
• You can swap gems with coins with the Exchange Widget (bottom of the market page ).
6. How can I unlock special levels?
You can do it by acquiring one of the following unlocks in the market (either with gems or by
purchasing them):
• Special Levels Unlock: Unlocks the first special level for every difficulty, then each
next one as you finish the
previous one.
• All Levels Unlock: Get instant access to every level (including all special levels)
without the need to solve them one after another.
7. Can I use my unlocks on a new phone?
Absolutely! Just make sure you're signed in with the same Google or Apple account you used to buy
them. Head to the market page () and
tap Restore. Note that this doesn't work for purchases made with in-app currency and for
purchases from different platform (e.g., Android to iOS
or iOS to Android).
8. Is there a Daily Challenge?
Yes! Go to the market page () and
you will find the Daily
Challenge (
) at
the top.
Complete it for one box and a temporary coin boost. There is a new challenge with three tangrams
every day!
9. Are there referrals?
Yes - you can find them at the market page ():
• There are three invite codes.
• Share one of the codes with a friend.
• Your friend enters it and get a reward code back.
• Enter the reward code to get a reward.
• There are more details on how to use referrals inside the game. Click on the question mark at
the top right of the Referrals Widget to see them.
10. How do I move my progress to a new phone or tablet?
• Android: To save your progress in the cloud you need to be signed-in with Google Play
Games. You can do it once you open the game for the first time or with the Log In button
in the settings page (). When
both your old
and new devices are signed-in with Google Play Games inside the game, your progress will be
synced automatically. Sometimes you may need to solve one level to trigger the sync process.
• iOS: Your progress is saved to the cloud as long as you are signed in with an Apple ID.
If you use the same Apple ID on a new device, your progress will be automatically
transferred.
• Cross-platform: We do not support cross-platform progress sync.
11. Can I play on two devices at once?
Yes! Use the same Google Play Games sign-in or Apple ID on both devices. Your completed levels and rewards sync across devices as long as you have a good internet connection.
12. Why aren't rewarded ads loading?
We know it's frustrating when ads don't show up — especially when you're counting on that reward! Here are a few things to check:
✅ Basic things to try:
• Make sure you're connected to a strong, stable internet connection (Wi-Fi is best!)
• Restart the app and your device
• Try again a bit later - sometimes ads just aren't available for a short while
• If you're using a VPN, try turning it off and reopening the game
• Make sure you're using the latest version of the game by visiting the App Store. If you see an
“Open” button instead of “Update,” you're already up to date!
📱 iOS users - Check your tracking settings:
To show you relevant ads and improve chances of ad availability, iOS needs your
permission.
There are two things to check:
1. Global setting: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and
make sure "Allow
Apps to Request to Track" is turned ON.
2. App-specific setting: In the same menu, scroll down and make sure tracking is allowed
specifically Owlyfit .
Allowing tracking doesn't mean we follow you around - it just helps us show more useful,
better-matched ads. More
personalized ads = more chances an ad will be available (and rewards for you!). It also helps us
keep the app free ❤️.
🇪🇺 EU/UK users - Consent settings matter:
If you're in the EU or UK, we respect your privacy choices under GDPR. You'll see a consent
screen the first time you try to watch a rewarded ad. If you choose limited or no
personalization, it can reduce how often ads are available - or even prevent them from showing
at all.
Allowing more personalized ads:
• Helps us show you more relevant ads
• Increases the chances that an ad is ready when you need it
• Keeps the app free and supported 💪
You can update your ad consent anytime in the app: just go to the "Privacy Settings" in
the settings page (3rd page at the bottom navigation bar ()).
